When taught to young children in a vibrant and interactive manner, mathematics can be an enjoyable and captivating subject. Bright, eye-catching assignments on A4 sheets aid in grabbing their attention and adding enjoyment to the learning process.

These activities support early math skills while allowing kids to explore numbers, shapes, and patterns. Children’s comprehension is improved when mathematical concepts are connected to visual stimuli through the use of colors.

These A4 math worksheets can be used by parents, teachers, and other caregivers to gently and successfully introduce young students to fundamental ideas, fostering a love of math from an early age.

Knowledge standards for preschoolers in mathematics

The following are the benchmarks for preschoolers’ mathematical knowledge and proficiency:

For children aged 4-5

  • complete math tasks for 5-10 minutes without being distracted,
  • classify objects, incl.. geometric figures,
  • recognize and name basic geometric figures, flat and three-dimensional (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, sphere, cube, cylinder), understand their differences,
  • know all the numbers from 0 to 9, count objects within 5, correlate the number of objects with the desired number,
  • compare 2 groups of objects by making pairs,
  • understand the definitions more – less, equally, high, low, narrow, wide,
  • be able to arrange objects in ascending order by length, height, etc.d.

For children aged 5-6

  • complete tasks for 10-15 minutes without being distracted,
  • complete tasks independently according to the model,

  • use quantitative and serial numbers, answer the questions “how much?"," Which is in a row?",
  • be able to lay out up to 10 objects in ascending order by length, height, length, thickness, etc.d.

For children aged 6-7

  • do exercises in mathematics and other subjects for 30 minutes without being distracted, attention becomes arbitrary,
  • lay out pictures with a developing plot (what first, what then).
  • correlate numbers (0-9) with the number of objects
  • distinguish and name parts of the day, days of the week, months, seasons in order,
  • tell time by the clock with an accuracy of 1 hour,
  • navigate a sheet of paper (left, right, top, bottom, middle), perform graphic dictations,
  • find an extra object in a group,
  • solve puzzles, logic problems,
  • be able to arrange objects in ascending order by length, height, length, thickness, etc.d., measure the volume of liquid and bulk solids using a conventional measure
  • solve problems on addition and subtraction in one operation within 1 ten.

Preschoolers can learn basic math concepts in a fun and engaging way by doing colorful math tasks in A4 format. These worksheets help preschoolers develop early math skills, like counting, shapes, and basic problem-solving, while maintaining focus through colorful visuals and entertaining activities. These are a useful and entertaining resource for parents and teachers to make math learning fun. They are simple to print and use in the classroom or at home.

Since mathematics is such a serious subject, we shouldn’t pass up the chance to make it enjoyable. Pascal Blaise

The aforementioned standards are all dependent on one another and serve merely as a framework for a preschooler’s development.

For this reason, we do not age-group tasks and simulators for preschoolers. Select items that you believe your child will find interesting and necessary.

“Find a match” – a task from a photographer

Exercises in mathematics that are unconventional for a preschooler and require spatial imagination.

Measurement tasks

“Count and write down!”

Arrange by size – mathematics for children 3-4 years old

Write the numbers in order – mathematics for children 5-6 years

Number composition for preschoolers – mathematics for children 4-5 years old

The panda task involves determining the composition of six, while the others involve five.

Find a match

In the task involving leaves and acorns, the matching is done by number of objects; in the task involving chicks, the matching is done by form.

More, less or equal

Set comparison is a program designed for first-graders. However, children as young as four or five years old can actually handle this kind of math work.

Continue the sequence

For the development of kids in grades 4-5, 4-6, and even younger, this is math and graphomotorics.

These are developmental exercises using different geometric patterns from the series "Repeat the drawing by cells."

Decorate the cupcakes

Using the quantity of colored dragee indicated by the number, select a "cap" of cream for every cupcake.

Difficult tasks

In addition to numbers and measurements, mathematics for kids ages 4-5–6 includes reasoning, spatial thinking, comparisons, analytics, and even fine motor skills!

Numbers from 0 to 10

Numbers from 0 to 20

This is elementary school mathematics for kids ages 4–5. As opposed to memorization of counting from 0 to 20 like a poem without understanding the meaning of the action, such tasks help form ideas about the world around us, teach counting on fingers, and develop basic mathematical skills.

Counting and number recognition can be achieved through sensorics: draw, sometimes write, and arrange numbers using a construction set, plasticine, or a string.
