How to get a temporary job for a minor

The Novosibirsk region’s employment centers (EC) have started an annual program to hire schoolchildren for the summer. The Employment Center has been extending invitations to companies to participate in the summer employment program for schoolchildren since the start of the year.

Schoolchildren between the ages of 14 and 18 can find summer employment through the Employment Center. The Russian Federation’s Labor Code prohibits working when underage.

We would like to remind you that it is against the law to employ minors for hazardous or harmful jobs, heavy lifting, selling tobacco products or alcohol, gambling, working in nightclubs, or underground labor.

What is needed to get a job as a teenager

  • contact the Employment Center at your place of residence and get information about what jobs are available for schoolchildren;
  • choose a suitable vacancy and visit the employer;
  • get parental consent for summer work (the form will be provided at the Employment Center);
  • submit documents: passport, TIN, SNILS, consent of a legal representative, work record book (if any), medical record book (the employer pays for it);
  • sign an employment contract with the employer and the employment service;
  • start work.

The employer will open a work record book for the student if he has never worked before. As of 2021, the work record book is exclusively provided in electronic format to newly hired employees.

How long can minors work?

  • 4 hours a day and 24 hours a week – for 14-15 year olds;
  • 5 hours a day and 24 hours a week – for 15-16 year olds
  • 7 hours a day and 35 hours a week – for 16-18 year olds.
  • 2.5 hours a day and 12 hours a week – for 14-16 year olds;
  • 4 hours a day and 17.5 hours a week – for 16-18 year olds.

At the place of employment, the rate will be used to determine the actual hours worked and salary. The Employment Center will transfer the additional funds after payment.

" In general, the salary cannot be lower than the minimum wage in the region – now for the NSO it is 17,362.5 rubles.

It"s time to think about. future pension!

The Novosibirsk Region government’s press office reports that in 2021, roughly 7,000 teenagers between the ages of 14 and 17 worked there, with 5,000 of those hours occurring during the summer.

Teenagers in Novosibirsk who work summer jobs have the opportunity to not only make money, but also begin contributing to their pension fund if they obtain an official job and receive a "white" wage.

You must be registered with the Pension Fund for work-related information to appear in your individual personal account within the mandatory pension insurance system. You are already registered there if you have an SNILS (insurance number of an individual personal account)!

Parents and the teenager themselves may apply for a SNILS if the adolescent does not yet have one by the age of 14. In order to accomplish this, you must make an appointment in advance, specify the reason for your visit, and present your passport to the MFC or any local Pension Fund client service.

" Important: a work device does not affect the fact of payment of a pension of the breadwinner.

What vacancies are offered

The Novosibirsk Region’s Ministry of Labor and Social Development estimates that over 7,000 teenagers in our area will have summer part-time jobs starting in 2022. Fifty businesses in the area are willing to hire young workers.

  • promoters,
  • educators (counselors),
  • social work (care for lonely and elderly people),
  • vacancies in landscaping work,
  • couriers,
  • animators,
  • waiters,
  • IT specialists,
  • handymen,
  • cleaning of production facilities, office premises,
  • animal care,
  • agricultural work.

Teenagers made an average of 15.5 thousand rubles last year; additionally, over 7 million rubles were set aside to support schoolchildren’s employment. The money was used to make additional payments, with each child receiving roughly 1,000 rubles.

How to find a temporary job for the summer?

“Citizens are given the opportunity to choose the method of submitting an application:

  • in person at the employment center or in the MFC,
  • by mail,
  • using fax;
  • in electronic form, including using the Unified Portal.

The service is provided in state employment agencies.

One outcome of performing public service is that a citizen is referred to take part in temporary employment."

Therefore, the simplest method to learn about open positions is to get in touch with the closest (district) Employment Center.

You can, however, attempt to hunt for a job independently by using job sites. Work relating to the Internet is in demand there, in addition to the occupations mentioned above: copywriter, typesetter, questionnaire processor, and social media moderator. Work is offered at parks, summer cafes, and tourist attractions. Here, though, you must exercise extra caution to avoid falling for con artists. If the offered salary greatly exceeds $18,000–$20,000 per month, you should absolutely proceed with caution as they rarely pay that much for labor that requires little skill.

If a teenager is active and likes to perform in public, you can get a job as a children"s animator in holiday agencies from the age of 15 (this is only if the teenager looks older than his age, if he looks younger, they will not accept him). To begin with, as an assistant animator on trips, and then, if he shows himself well, as the main animator. Payment from 500 rubles/hour, but this is not official employment, but part-time work in your free time

This is fascinating, tell me, are you able to suggest a particular agency, perhaps you have experience working with them, etc.? or what to look out for when applying for a job to avoid getting scammed by the payoff.

Yes, the kids only display the goods. From the video to the cart, from the cart to the showcase.
The main thing is for the children to survive the 1st day. Let them ask. Here, exactly a hundred and five hundred times. This is only 1-2 days and that"s it. Then the aces. Otherwise they get scared on the very first day, nod their heads that they understood everything, and then they do sooooooo much. You say to redo it, and those who stay – they begin to understand and accept the requirements and then work. A there are those who run away and don"t want to try any more. But in general, those who are looking for work, they want to earn money and work well. Many are really smart.

It should be noted that the opportunity to work for themselves is transferred at the age of 14. Additionally, official employment in stores is a possibility. The HR department’s contacts in any store. Give them a call, and they will choose a store that is closer to you and has a vacancy. While the work is the same, the salary is higher in this position. Additionally, you could limit it to the summer.

Alternatively, I made a deal with my child that she would visit us on the weekends and after school going forward.

They pay 130 rubles per hour, shifts of 4 and 6 hours. Stores are always selected near home, you can work at least once a week, at least 6 times a week. Write a day in advance on WhatsApp to the curator that you can go out tomorrow and they will pick something for you. My daughter says that 4 hours is generally nonsense, she almost never gets tired.

After 7 minutes and 40 seconds, added:

I found another one here. They claim that it is also intended for schoolchildren. I never learned for myself.
