Specialization
The Perinatal Center’s main goals are to treat premature births starting at 22 weeks of pregnancy and to give premature and extremely low-birth-weight newborns the best possible care.
Prenatal department
The general type wards in the pregnancy pathology department can accommodate two to five individuals. Before giving birth, expectant mothers can receive the necessary treatment and a comprehensive medical examination in this department.
Maternity department
Individual delivery boxes are used for childbirth, and a doctor and midwife are present to continuously monitor the laboring woman. Maternity rooms are made to accommodate a single laboring woman. It is permissible for family members to attend the birth.
Modern technology is included in every box to enable continuous monitoring of the mother’s and fetus’s health as well as the uterus’s contractile activity. Other features include an ultrasound machine, infusion pumps, a medical gas supply system, and a centralized climate control system that keeps the delivery room at the ideal humidity and temperature. There is central air purification in maternity rooms.
Every woman is given her own set of medical equipment and a disposable, sterile linen set.
Different kinds of anesthesia are used during childbirth, depending on the condition of the fetus and the laboring woman. Regional methods of analgesia are commonly employed for pain relief, as they have a strong analgesic effect and don’t hinder the fetus’s or mother’s state or the activity of birth. Highly skilled physicians who specialize in anesthesiology and resuscitation perform spinal and epidural analgesia, and they are fully trained in this technique.
In the birth center Birth with a partner is welcome. It is acceptable for laboring women to remain clothed. It is essential to have shoes and clean cotton clothing (socks are required) for relatives.
Women who are actively laboring are welcomed to participate in childbirth. Birth tables, balls, and transformers are available for this.
If there are no medical reasons why it shouldn’t be done, the newborn is placed on the mother’s stomach and nursed right away. The woman requests the collection of umbilical cord blood for stem cells, which are kept in the Hemabank at the Moscow Institute of Stem Cells.
Postpartum department
The Perinatal Center’s obstetric postpartum department offers skilled medical care to women following vaginal delivery as well as cesarean sections. The department’s main characteristics are its high level of medical professionalism, cozy atmosphere, and friendliness.
Every room in the department is meant for a mother and child to stay together, where they are together all day long. The department is spotless, and every room and hallway has brand-new, exquisite, and useful furniture.
There is a physiotherapy room and an ultrasound diagnostic room in the postpartum department. The department has all of the newest medical supplies and equipment available, including all current medications.
Mothers sleep in cozy single and double rooms with bathrooms and showers. There is a staff call system in the wards.
There is a sink-bath that is cozy for bathing, a changing table, and a rocking crib for a newborn.
Daily hours for visiting family members are 16.00–18.00; on weekends and holidays, the hours are 11.00–13.00 and 16.00–18.00.
The dietary needs of the nursing mother and her coexisting medical conditions are taken into consideration when serving meals in the ward.
Discussions are had and methodological advice is given regarding rules of behavior following hospital discharge, nutrition, hygiene, contraception, gymnastics, and the postpartum period.
Work on breastfeeding is done with patients. The initiation of lactation and its maintenance are given a lot of attention. Legal and psychological support from qualified professionals can be given if needed.
Every day, in front of the mother, a neonatologist examines the infant in the ward. The mother will learn how to take care of her newborn from a pediatric nurse.
After doing a daily examination, a neonatologist updates the mother on the baby’s health and responds to inquiries. Neonatologists and pediatric nurses are on duty around-the-clock to oversee all newborns.
If there are no contraindications, immunizations are administered in accordance with the national vaccination calendar while the child is in the hospital. The parents have given their consent for all vaccinations. Even after being released from the Center, the mother can continue to visit, look after, and feed the child if he is in the second stage of nursing.
The woman gets an ultrasound of her uterus, a complete clinical and laboratory examination, and, if needed, consultations with physicians from various specialties while she is in the department.
After 4-5 days of spontaneous, simple genera, and 6–8 days following a cesarean section, write down your nap times.
Department of newborns and premature babies of the obstetric hospital
Located on the third floor of the building, the department dedicated to newborns and premature babies can accommodate 50 beds. It comprises a separate mother-child post, an intensive care post, and single-bed joint stay wards that are fully equipped to ensure a comfortable stay for both mother and child during the early neonatal period.
In the joint stay wards, young mothers learn how to properly breastfeed and become skilled caregivers with the assistance of highly qualified staff. Parents can obtain comprehensive information about their newborn’s condition and the features of the adaptation period in the newborn department. Good care for the newborn and the formation of a positive emotional memory of childbirth depend on a welcoming environment in the department and early interaction between mother and child. When a healthy child leaves our department and returns home, the primary responsibility is to make sure that the baby’s parents are comfortable communicating with him or her psychologically.
Every doctor in the department holds a neonatology certificate; three doctors are in the highest category of qualification; and one staff member completed a neonatology clinical residency.
Department of pathology of newborns and premature babies (stage II)
Interests in science: the clinical and metabolic aspects of cerebral ischemia in full-term infants suffering from anemia. awarded a certificate of honor from the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Health and Social Development in 2007 as well as a certificate of honor from the Health Department of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Administration in 2004.
The department provides nursing care for premature babies, including those with extremely low birth weight, using modern diagnostic and treatment methods with the use of the latest drugs and equipment (cuvette, lineomat, monitors for monitoring the child"s vital signs). Very premature babies are kept in incubators, where conditions are created that are as close as possible to intrauterine life: the temperature and humidity levels are constantly monitored, protection from noise and bright light is created, "nests", bolsters, special mattresses are used to maintain the "intrauterine position", which is physiological for such babies; oxygen therapy is used if necessary. Total parenteral nutrition, antibacterial and immune therapy with modern drugs based on microbiological and immunological monitoring are used for effective treatment. Breast milk fortifiers (dry fortifiers or breast milk enhancers), used in the department, allow maintaining breastfeeding even in a group of premature babies with very low body weight. Health education work is carried out with mothers and relatives of newborns and they are provided with emotional support.
In intensive care units, mothers are permitted to remain with their offspring. Mothers can spend the entire day with their children in rehabilitation centers. A unit for 24-hour stays in the department has been set up for mothers from outlying areas of the region.
– kids from the resuscitation and intensive care unit of the Perinatal Center, as well as the children’s wards of the physiological and newborn observation departments (if applicable);
The department has a dairy unit that makes milk formulas for the center’s neonatal departments. Only in the wards are all operations performed on premature and extremely sick children.
Consultations and councils with professors and associate professors are held in close collaboration with the Department of Pediatrics at the Institute of Postgraduate Education of the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after Prof. V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky. The department’s curator is K.M.N. S.I.
