Numbers with four digits. In response, 2581 = 2. Count the circles in each four-digit number as best you can. As an illustration, 6 has one circle, 8 has two, and 6889 has six! You get it?

A chocolate box. Diagram B is the answer. This math is easy: What is the number of caramel candies in the box? 10 – 30 = 20. What is the quantity of coconut candies? 25 – 10 = 15. You can now see how many chocolates that were just plain came in the box! (20 + 15 + 10) – 50 = 5.

Color Puzzle

These puzzles are four-color creations by puzzle master Erich Friedman. You must color the pieces in such a way that no side is touched by pieces of the same color in order to solve the puzzle. There are four colors used in all: blue, red, yellow, and green.

Logical hexagon

These 19 dots are arranged in a hexagon. To make each set of three dots lying on a straight segment equal 22, you must mark the dots with numbers ranging from 1 to 19. The hexagon can be drawn or printed for convenience.

Logical games

  1. Imaginary traveler. Take turns to come up with sentences. Players imagine where they can go and what item they want to take with them on the trip. These items are strictly in alphabetical order. For example: "I"m going to Aunt Alla and picking up my Pineapple". "I"m going to Bermuda and picking up my White Barrel". Encourage participants to be as funny as possible.
  2. Fortunately / unfortunately. This game is inspired by Remy Charlip"s book "Fortunately". One player begins the story with a phrase like "Fortunately, the bus is coming". The next player counters with a phrase like "Unfortunately, it turned into a plane and flew away"!The next player starts again with "Fortunately…"
  3. Name Five. Pick a category like flowers, animals, furniture, clothes. Going through the alphabet, each player must name five things in that category. For example, if the category is all living things, the first player might name antelope, agouti, shark, bottlenose dolphin (that"s a dolphin), macaw (a parrot). The next player starts with B: baboon, butterfly, cormorant, bacteria, squirrel.
  4. Timed Categories. Your cell phone probably has a stopwatch in your pocket. Pick a category like animals, games, plants, purple foods, and challenge the kids to count how many things they can think of in that category in one minute.

Checkers

Set aside your laptops and smartphones. Switch off the televisions. A classic game of checkers is a great way to bond and have fun.
