Paid services in municipal maternity hospitals in Novosibirsk

Last but not least, the maternity hospital at City Hospital No. 1 used paid services, just like it did last year. There, 18% of moms used the enhanced comfort wards, and they did not pay for the doctors’ services. In Maternity Hospital No. 7 (36%) and the Regional Perinatal Center (40%), paid services were not very well-liked.

However, mothers at Maternity Hospital No. 6 continue to use paid services extensively and increasingly more frequently (61.5% of cases compared to 57%). They opted for improved comfort wards over the services of a particular physician or obstetrician more frequently.

It appears that all of the doctors at Maternity Hospital No. 4, where half of the women used paid services, primarily paid for the more comfortable wards, are already at the top of their game!

From the reviews: The postpartum department in the OPC is something else for me! I didn"t even expect that a separate room would be waiting for me and my child! After all, the birth was ordinary, not a service one. The room had everything you need: a bed, a wardrobe, a table with a chair, a kettle, a microwave and a small refrigerator. A toilet with a shower for two with the neighboring room. There were more than enough diapers for the baby (clean and sterile). There were also a lot of nightgowns for mothers. The rooms were cleaned every day. Midwives and nurses never refused to help, they told me how to handle the child (this was my first experience, so it was scary). The food is good. Yes, not sweet and not salty, but this is a hospital.
