The Christ-Nativity holiday is quickly approaching. Some Christmas carols from other countries have acquired Russian lyrics and have become completely “ours”, and sometimes vice versa, Ukrainian and Russian songs become English. And, as always happens with the folk genre, carols are performed in different regions, cities and even groups in different ways: both the music and the lyrics change.
